Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright Type)

Location: Sanford, NC, United States; onsite at the facility

Salary: $30 per hour, depending on experience

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on facility, plant, stationary, and mobile equipment.
• Maintain electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and use preventive maintenance management systems.
• Fabricate, weld, modify equipment, and install pumps and piping systems.
• Maintain service, parts, inventory, inspection, checklist, and preventive maintenance records.
• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment when needed to support diagnosis and maintenance.
• Follow lockout/tagout, health and safety procedures, SOPs, permit requirements, and facility compliance standards.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment preferred.
• Knowledge of piping systems and fluid dynamics; experience with instrumentation, distillation stills, evaporating equipment, cooling towers, pumps, and boilers is beneficial.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform prolonged standing, lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and object handling.
• Valid, clean driver’s license.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, maintain confined-space certification, and wear a full-face respirator.
• Ability to work clean-shaven and in extreme weather conditions.
