Assistant Branch Manager

Location: Fully onsite at 999 Grant Avenue, Novato, California 94945

Salary: $26–$34 per hour, with possible performance-based incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Maintain branch operations standards and satisfactory audit results.
• Monitor sales and service goals while coaching staff to deepen consumer and business relationships.
• Develop long-term relationships with local consumers and businesses and provide proactive financial solutions.
• Support personal banking activities, including opening accounts, receiving loan requests, and gathering credit information.
• Lead, train, and coach tellers and support oversight of personal bankers with the Branch Manager.
• Oversee branch opening and closing, overdraft monitoring, wire transfers, collections, stop payments, and branch controls.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of retail banking experience required.
• Customer service experience in retail or banking.
• Strong sales, relationship-building, leadership, communication, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, banking systems, related software, and office equipment.
• Must act as a Bank MLO and register in compliance with SAFE Act requirements; the role is limited to open-end transactions such as home equity lines of credit and is not authorized for closed-end mortgage lending.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree, vocational or technical degree in banking, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience.
• Two years of consumer and small business lending origination experience.
• Experience training and mentoring employees.
