Assistant Branch Manager (Banking)

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States of America; onsite branch work

Salary: $28.60–$47.66 hourly (USD)

What you will do

• Assist with branch management, sales, business development, marketing, and daily operations.
• Develop, expand, and retain customer relationships by identifying financial needs and presenting relevant products and services.
• Manage customer portfolios, conduct outbound outreach, prepare appointments, and support branch sales and referral goals.
• Resolve complex account servicing issues, exceptions, and escalations while maintaining accurate and timely follow-up.
• Coach branch employees on customer experience, sales generation, operations, and referrals.
• Supervise branch operations in the Branch Manager’s absence and support hiring, scheduling, training, performance management, and team meetings.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree and at least 4 years of retail sales, call center, customer service, or telesales experience; alternatively, 6 years of combined higher education and work experience including 4 years of relevant experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, customer service, sales, business development, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with personal computers, word processing, spreadsheets, email, and relevant banking systems.
• Life, Accident, and Health Insurance licensing required within 18 months; training is provided within 6 months.
• Ability to work in an open, face-to-face customer environment and stand for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Notary public license.
• Licensed Life/Health Insurance Agent qualification.
• Bilingual communication skills based on branch needs.
• Understanding of branch profitability and internet experience.
