Signals Software Engineer (RF)

hirify.global LLC is hiring for software engineering work focused on radio frequency signal processing systems.

What you will do

• Analyze user and system requirements and derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design, develop, modify, debug, and integrate signal processing software, including detectors, demodulators, protocol processors, and software frameworks.
• Implement complex algorithms for digital signal processing, modulation, filtering, demodulation, error control coding, and signal conversion.
• Identify problems in RF processing systems and resolve software problem reports and defects.
• Develop and execute software component tests, perform quality control, and document test results and system behavior.
• Lead software development teams and collaborate with system and software engineers on interfaces, capabilities, constraints, and performance.

Requirements

• Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Poly is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, or four additional years of equivalent SSWE experience in place of the degree.
• At least seven years of SSWE or equivalent experience on projects focused on Radio Frequency systems.
• Experience with Fourier transforms, filtering, communications theory, digital modulation, error control coding, signal analysis tools, and digital signal processing.
• Strong software development experience with C++ or Java and advanced understanding of the Linux operating system.
• Ability to design signal processing software from sparse documentation and work within strict timing, system resource, and interface constraints.

Nice to have

• Experience with software-defined radio architectures such as SCA, REDHAWK, or GNU Radio.
• Knowledge of commercial wireless standards, geolocation techniques, and model-based design with MATLAB or Simulink.
• Experience with Git, ClearQuest, Trac, Subversion, Python, Eclipse IDE, Google Protocol Buffers, and service-oriented architecture.

• Annual salary of $187,000–$204,000.
• Additional immediately vested company 401(k) contributions of $47,000–$51,000.
