Sr. Software Engineer (Radar R&D & Production Focused)

Location: Full-time onsite in Hawthorne (Los Angeles), California, United States. U.S. Person status is required to access U.S.-only data systems.

Salary: $140,000–$240,000 annual base compensation, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop R&D and production software for next-generation radar products.
• Integrate software with primarily commercial off-the-shelf hardware.
• Support deployed software capabilities used by U.S. and international customers.
• Design and implement radar modes and algorithms, signal processing, target detection, and tracking.
• Collaborate across engineering teams and contribute to multiple product capabilities.
• Support full-lifecycle development, integration, verification, validation, and deployment of high-TRL systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional object-oriented software development experience.
• Extensive Python experience and strong Linux software development skills.
• Experience with Agile processes, Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Test-Driven Development.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate in small teams.
• U.S. Person status is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with radar, electro-optical/infrared, electronic warfare, or other ground and airborne sensors.
• Experience with CUDA, software-defined radios, networking, advanced time synchronization, containers, and cloud or virtualization technologies.
• Experience with C++, Rust, NodeJS, Java, Go, DevOps, DevSecOps, and CI/CD.
• Experience with defense architectures and messaging standards such as OMS, SOSA, or Link-16.
• Experience with modeling and simulation, hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop testbeds, and 2D/3D visualization.
