Senior Engineer II - Systems (Embedded Systems)

Location: Boulder, Colorado, United States. US citizenship is required; candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance or be able to obtain one. The role involves up to 15% travel to customer sites worldwide and requires access to US export-controlled technology.

Annual base salary: $70,304–$205,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Engineer embedded systems and algorithms for time, position, and RF communications.
• Define requirements and perform system design, implementation, verification, testing, and validation.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, FPGA, and mechanical engineers to deliver solutions meeting customer requirements.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering on new product introduction and release.
• Support system integration and equipment installation at customer sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university.
• Typically 7.5–10 years of systems engineering experience across requirements, design, implementation, verification, and testing.
• Experience with simulation, data processing, and analysis using Python and/or MATLAB.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and other digital test equipment.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a record of technical leadership and individual contribution.
• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one are required.

Nice to have

• Expertise in digital signal processing, control system design, linear system analysis, or statistical classification algorithms.
• Linux/Unix experience and knowledge of microprocessors, memory devices, and logic devices.
• Knowledge of precise timing components and applications, including oscillators, time measurement circuits, and GPS receivers.
• Experience executing government programs with formal reviews and documentation, including SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR.
