Senior Radar Software Engineer (Radar)

Location: Full-time on-site in Hawthorne (Los Angeles), California, United States. U.S. Person status is required to access U.S.-only data systems.

Salary: $140,000–$240,000 annual base compensation, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits. Relocation assistance is available.

What you will do

• Develop research, production, and deployment software for next-generation radar products.
• Integrate software with mostly commercial off-the-shelf hardware.
• Design and implement radar modes and algorithms, signal processing, target detection, and tracking capabilities.
• Support deployed software capabilities for U.S. and international customers.
• Contribute to Agile development using Scrum, continuous integration, and test-driven development.
• Collaborate across product families and support full-lifecycle development of high-TRL systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional object-oriented software development experience.
• Advanced Python experience and extensive Linux software development experience.
• Experience with Agile lifecycle processes, including Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Test-Driven Development.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in small teams.
• U.S. Person status required for access to U.S.-only data systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with radar or other ground and airborne sensors, software-defined radios, CUDA, networks, and near-real-time embedded software.
• Experience with C++, Rust, NodeJS, Java, Go, containers, DevOps, DevSecOps, and CI/CD.
• Experience with DoD security clearances, system architectures, messaging standards, modeling and simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop or software-in-the-loop testbeds.
• Experience with visualization, virtualization, secure boot, TPM, network boot, encryption, and advanced time synchronization.
