Sr Embedded Software Engineer (Radar & DSP)

Location: On-site in Huntington Beach, California, United States. The role requires authorization to work in the U.S. and may require authorization to receive technology controlled under U.S. export control laws without sponsorship for an export license.

Salary: $165,000–$220,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Develop, test, implement, and optimize radar software for RF sensing technologies.
• Build software for next-generation counter-UAV defense systems.
• Develop and maintain signal-processing algorithms for real-time, low-latency operation.
• Design clean, efficient, and well-tested software in C++, Python, or C.
• Integrate embedded software with hardware and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot and refine complex systems while communicating technical risks, blockers, and trade-offs in agile workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or RF/radar engineering.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, or C and experience writing efficient, well-tested code.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle, including design, development, deployment, and support.
• Background in radar or wireless communications L1/PHY/RF, including signal processing, FFTs, filters, and fixed- or floating-point math.
• Experience with multi-core or multi-processor development, real-time constraints, and hardware-software co-design.
• Ability to work on-site in Huntington Beach, California, and authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Hands-on machine learning experience covering model development, evaluation, and deployment.
• Practical use of supervised and unsupervised learning for clustering, classification, or anomaly detection in signal processing.
• Technical leadership experience driving high-performance radar solutions for defense applications.
• Independent contributions to radar software projects.
