Process and Tooling Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Corvallis, Oregon, United States of America; relocation available; 25% travel.

Salary: $73,800–$113,650 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for candidates in the United States.

What you will do

• Design mechanical and thermal hardware, electronics enclosures, and production tooling using established engineering principles.
• Collaborate with mechanical hardware engineers, internal teams, outsourced development partners, vendors, and suppliers.
• Implement and validate test plans covering tolerances, form, fit, function, shock, vibration, process capability, and design margins.
• Analyze component and tooling failures, determine root causes, and resolve cross-functional technical challenges.
• Build, test, and refine rapid prototypes integrating electrical, mechanical, and software components.
• Manage supplier deliverables, product quality, schedules, costs, and technical guidance.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Typically 0–4 years of experience in engineering design, solution implementation, process development, or a related field.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, or Inventor; CAD; and computer-aided design.
• Understanding of mechanical engineering, machine design, electromechanics, mechanical systems, prototyping, and product design.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including injection molding, machining, sheet metal, and design for manufacturing.
• Ability to work with Ansys, finite element methods, statistical process control, engineering statistics, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing.
