Bilingual Universal Banker (English and Spanish)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States; onsite branch role with face-to-face customer interaction.

Salary: $20.55–$34.25 hourly (USD)

What you will do

• Support branch customers through sales, service, digital engagement, appointments, and walk-in interactions.
• Educate customers on Consumer and Business Banking products and recommend solutions based on identified needs.
• Complete teller transactions, account servicing, overdraft review, complaint resolution, and operational documentation.
• Identify customer needs, refer complex requests and product opportunities to appropriate banking partners, and support retention and relationship growth.
• Explain high-level loan application decision criteria and support new account opening or loan origination activities.
• Follow AML, BSA, KYC, fraud prevention, internal control, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of retail sales, call center, customer service, or telesales experience.
• Fluent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish is required; proficiency will be assessed.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle difficult customer conversations.
• Ability to work with consumer and small-business customers, prioritize tasks, manage time, and perform under critical time constraints.
• Internet user-level technology proficiency and willingness to work in an open, face-to-face branch environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, use hands and fingers for prolonged periods, read fine print, and lift objects weighing 5–30 pounds.
