Mechanical Design Engineer, Lead

Salary: $109,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems, equipment, machinery, and packaging.
• Plan and execute feasibility studies and structured experiments, including data collection, analysis, and technical reporting.
• Direct support personnel during detailed design, prototype fabrication, installation, debugging, and testing.
• Develop engineering documentation, maintenance procedures, safety standards, and presentation materials.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance for equipment maintenance, root-cause investigations, and bid responses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8–12+ years of progressive mechanical design engineering experience involving system development, testing, and manufacturing support.
• Expertise in mechanical system design, analysis, prototyping, troubleshooting, CAD tools, and mechanical testing methods.
• Experience directing technicians or support teams during fabrication, testing, or equipment installation.
• Strong experiment design, data interpretation, communication, and presentation skills.
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Person status is required; applicants must be eligible to access export-controlled information under ITAR or EAR regulations.
