Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Torrance, California, United States. U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain required U.S. government authorizations is required for ITAR compliance.

Salary: $100,000–$175,000 per year, plus equity, discretionary performance bonuses, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for complex antenna systems, precision RF assemblies, and advanced electronic integration.
• Design and validate tooling, fixtures, assembly processes, handling setups, alignment systems, and test setups.
• Translate engineering designs into robust production workflows and partner with design teams on design-for-manufacturability and prototype-to-production transitions.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to improve yield and reduce defects in integrated electromechanical systems.
• Create and maintain work instructions, process flows, and assembly documentation.
• Evaluate production equipment and lead make-versus-buy decisions while balancing cost, floor space, capability, and scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or hands-on hardware work.
• Proficiency in CAD, such as Siemens NX, for tooling and fixture design.
• Knowledge of precision assembly, welding, adhesives, and mechanical fastening.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve production-floor issues creatively.
• Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience developing work instructions, process flows, and assembly documentation.
• Hands-on experience with complex electromechanical or RF hardware.
• Basic understanding of electrical and RF systems for assembly and testing.
