Mechanical Design Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States. The role requires U.S. export-control eligibility as a U.S. person or eligibility for deemed export licensing.

Salary: $86,100–$159,468 USD per year, depending on level and qualifications.

What you will do

• Design vehicle structures from the conceptual phase through product release and manufacturing release.
• Define and manage interfaces between vehicle subsystems.
• Improve design processes through simplification and automation.
• Provide technical support for integration and testing activities.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and managers in an integrated development environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with relevant CAD and design experience, or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing and managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawings.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering design, analysis, and manufacturing.
• Experience with technically complex hardware products and configuration management.
• Experience with ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, and Y14.41 standards.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person or otherwise be eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export-control regulations.

Nice to have

• Aerospace or automotive design experience.
• Experience with Siemens NX.
• Strong multitasking, organization, communication, and documentation skills.
