What you will do

• Design test and integration fixtures and assemblies for flight-critical electromechanical actuation systems from concept through experimental flight testing.
• Design metallic parts, weldments, structural proof-load fixtures, and complex assemblies for actuation and propulsion integration.
• Define and execute test plans to clear prototype aircraft hardware for safety of flight.
• Develop test benches with flight hardware design engineers for tilt systems, actuation, and propulsion integration.
• Perform structural analysis, free-body diagrams, hand calculations, FEA, and load-path verification.
• Interface with suppliers and support requirements, technical drawings, plans, specifications, and documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Experience designing or integrating flight-critical systems and working with aerospace hardware standards.
• Proficiency in CAD, preferably NX, and ability to manage complex assemblies in Teamcenter.
• Experience with load analysis, free-body diagrams, FEA, metallic parts, weldments, GD&T, and manufacturing drawings.
• Hands-on experience with carbon composite and metallic structures.

Nice to have

• Experience with electric powertrain or aerospace systems, Simscape, flight-control mechanisms, or electromechanical actuators.
• Experience with product development from prototype aircraft through certification and mass production.
• Part 23 certification experience or experience with ARP4754A.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence, global supply chain management, and aerospace manufacturing processes.
