Logistics Officer (Customs)

What you will do

• Prepare, verify, and submit customs documentation, including invoices, air waybills, packing lists, and HS codes.
• Manage import and export clearance for air, sea, and land shipments across FCL, LCL, break bulk, B2B, and B2C operations.
• Coordinate with UAE customs authorities, free zones such as JAFZA, mainland UAE stakeholders, freight forwarders, and vendors.
• Calculate and process customs duties and taxes, prepare related invoices, and maintain reconciled financial records.
• Monitor shipments from port to warehouse, coordinate GCC cross-border logistics, and manage truck allocation and tracking.
• Act as the main client contact for customs procedures, duty obligations, and shipment updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in logistics, customs clearance, and trade compliance in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE customs regulations, GCC trade laws, and HS code classification.
• Proficiency in JDL and other customs or billing systems.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple shipments simultaneously.
