What you will do
- Prepare and compile documents required for the discharge of foreign cargo at domestic ports.
- Serve as a point of contact for existing and new customers.
- Arrange daily customs clearance and monitor customs broker procedures and reports.
- Enter and verify system data with the Coordinator and Documentation teams.
- Prepare invoices, check costs, present billing information, review jobs, and close completed work.
- Support customer meetings and complete related assignments from the team leader.
Requirements
- Experience or knowledge in customs clearance and cargo documentation.
- Ability to work with importers, shipping companies, airlines, railroads, trucking companies, pipeline operators, brokers, and the United States Customs Service.
- Accuracy in system data entry, document preparation, invoicing, cost checking, and job closing.
- Ability to implement standard operating procedures according to customer-specific requirements.
