CNC Machinist (Third Shift) (CNC)

Location: On-site in Nashua, New Hampshire, United States. Third shift runs from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Due to ITAR regulations, applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or foreign nationals with refugee or asylee status. Temporary visa holders are not eligible.

Salary: $26–$35 per hour. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available to external applicants.

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC milling and CNC lathe machines to produce prototype parts that meet tight manufacturing requirements.
• Prepare CAM files from CAD files, technical drawings, and verbal instructions using relevant machining software.
• Inspect finished parts, interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances, and make decisions about part quality.
• Maintain job organization, material inventory, machine cleanliness, and operator preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify solutions to recurring problems, and escalate unresolved issues to the shift lead or supervisor.
• Follow production, quality, safety, housekeeping, and on-time delivery requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating and setting up CNC milling or CNC lathe machines, with some understanding of programming.
• Knowledge of machining in a prototype manufacturing environment or related education and experience.
• Familiarity with Mastercam, SolidWorks, CAD/CAM, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret geometric tolerances, and use measuring instruments such as calipers, protractors, and height gauges.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, attention to detail, communication, time management, and teamwork skills; ability to lift or move 50+ pounds.
