HVAC Controls Service Technician

Location: Springdale, Arkansas, United States; field-based work conducted on-site at customer locations.

Hourly base pay: $21.89–$40.34 per hour.

What you will do

• Commission, program, configure graphics and communications links, test, troubleshoot, and service assigned HVAC controls projects.
• Document point-to-point verification, sequence-of-operations validation, and project closeout requirements.
• Diagnose and repair equipment and direct digital control systems at customer locations while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with team leaders and customers on building layouts, materials, installation requirements, and on-site repairs.
• Maintain current knowledge of Trane products, installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair procedures.
• Follow strict safety standards and remain flexible to work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a certificate from an accredited technical school.
• At least 7 years of HVAC or controls experience is typically required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld devices such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions in the previous three years.
• Ability to work safely at customer sites and travel requirements associated with assigned projects.

Nice to have

• Technical school or formal technical training.
• Previous experience with direct digital control systems.
