Industrial Field Service Technician (Air Compressors)

Location: Fully remote within a 1–2 hour travel radius surrounding Pensacola, Florida, United States. The role requires residence within a reasonable commute of the assigned territory, travel to customer locations, and occasional travel to Rock Hill, South Carolina for paid training.

Salary: $26–$32 per hour, with overtime eligibility after 8 work hours in a day.

What you will do

• Perform preventive service, troubleshooting, and repairs on air compressors, air dryers, drains, controllers, and low-pressure blowers.
• Set up, install, and pipe compressor systems.
• Develop expertise in variable speed drives, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
• Clean customer equipment pads and complete service, startup, warranty, oil-sample, and parts-return documentation.
• Explain completed services and repair or upgrade options to customers and the Service Manager.
• Participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool, including out-of-town and overnight travel within the assigned territory.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of technical experience in mechanical, maintenance, or electrical work.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and electrical theory, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, and fluency in English.
• Ability to use computers for work orders, parts ordering, and training.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in industrial environments with frequent walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
• Must reside within a reasonable commute of the assigned Pensacola-area territory and be able to park a branded company vehicle at the residence without restrictions.

Nice to have

• Experience maintaining, overhauling, and repairing industrial equipment involving electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
• HVAC experience and EPA certification.
• Ability to supply basic required tools.
