What you will do

• Lead a portion of the Avionics Hardware team and manage electrical engineers developing custom electronics for Terran R.
• Support avionics hardware through the full product lifecycle, including design, board bring-up, design verification, qualification, flight production, integration, and vehicle operations.
• Drive requirements capture, design reviews, verification activities, and other rigorous engineering processes.
• Partner with mechanical, thermal, software, propulsion, GNC, fluids, and stage engineering teams to develop integrated electronics solutions.
• Coach engineers on technical and non-technical best practices while fostering collaboration and high performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of electronics design experience in harsh environments and mission-critical applications such as launch vehicles, spacecraft, aircraft, or robotics.
• Experience leading engineers in best practices and domain-specific technical principles.
• Experience overseeing the strategic planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of advanced avionics systems.
• Experience working with highly cross-functional engineering teams to deliver integrated electronics solutions on schedule and within budget.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with embedded software development and avionics integration.
• Experience designing avionics hardware and systems for reliability and manufacturability.
• Technical expertise in power electronics, digital electronics, or mixed-signal electronics.
