Hiring range: $112,000–$168,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead daily quick-turn, prototype, and emergent machining operations supporting launch vehicle and propulsion system development.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop machinists while maintaining safety, accountability, continuous improvement, quality, and schedule performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to deliver flight-critical hardware and production fixturing.
• Mitigate supplier risk and keep key development initiatives on track.
• Develop and implement a department strategy focused on winning through shorter lead times.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on machining experience, including CNC mill/turn, multi-axis, and tight-tolerance aerospace work.
• 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience.
• Experience leading and scaling teams in fast-paced prototype environments while balancing urgency, quality, and safety.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with design, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Hands-on ownership mindset and willingness to solve problems in real time.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting rapid hardware development in a high-performance environment.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and production planning tools.
• Experience developing and implementing key performance indexes.
