Manufacturing Engineer - Machine Shop (Aerospace)

Salary: $85,000–$125,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for satellite structures, subassemblies, and components.
• Support tooling, fixtures, jigs, assembly, testing, and CNC machine shop operations.
• Provide hands-on production-floor support by diagnosing and resolving process and equipment issues.
• Transition products from design and testing into full-scale manufacturing while providing design-for-manufacturability input.
• Drive process improvement initiatives focused on production efficiency, reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Investigate manufacturing and test discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and production teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least two years of manufacturing engineering experience in a high-reliability environment, preferably a CNC machine shop.
• Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks, ERP/MRP systems such as D365 or Aegis, and ANSI and ISO standards.
• Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, DFMEA/FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Must be a U.S. Person or lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government export authorizations; security clearance or eligibility may be required.
