Production Manager (CNC Machining)

Salary: $120,000–$170,000 annually, plus potential stock options and benefits for full-time hires.

hirify.global is building uranium enrichment services and a new US manufacturing facility for nuclear fuel production.

What you will do

• Partner with engineering and leadership to design and build the facility, including floor layout, equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Own daily production execution, including schedule attainment, machinist and operator deployment, CNC program readiness, output, and first-pass quality.
• Lead CNC machining and lathe operations through capacity planning, tooling strategy, and cycle-time optimization.
• Build and cross-train machinist and operator teams across fabrication and machining functions.
• Establish quality systems, first-pass yield tracking, and 5S/Lean discipline.
• Manage equipment vendors and suppliers from capital procurement through installation and commissioning, while reporting production risks and issues to leadership.

Requirements

• 7+ years leading production operations in a CNC machining and/or lathe-focused manufacturing environment.
• Direct experience overseeing machinists and operators.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to make clear recommendations using first-principles reasoning with partial information.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience standing up or scaling a greenfield manufacturing facility.
• Multi-axis CNC lathe programming and operations experience; live tooling and Swiss-style experience are a plus.
• Familiarity with MES, ERP, QMS, or CMMS systems.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Toyota Production System principles.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, nuclear, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
