Salary: $148,000–$222,000 USD annually; leveling ranges from $106,000 to $203,500 USD depending on engineer level.

What you will do

  • Design, test, and analyze custom electronics for the Terran R launch vehicle.
  • Own hardware development from concept and initial design through flight maturity and production.
  • Perform board bring-up, design verification, qualification, integration, and vehicle operations.
  • Validate, debug, and analyze hardware performance and test data.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, electrical, software, propulsion, GNC, fluids, and stage engineering teams.
  • Apply project management skills to deliver reliable hardware on schedule for launch.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing electronics for harsh environments and mission-critical applications such as launch vehicles, spacecraft, aircraft, or robotics.
  • Familiarity with eCAD software such as Altium or an equivalent tool.
  • Experience with hardware bring-up, validation, debugging, and data analysis.
  • Experience with board-level design from concept through manufacturing.
  • Experience developing integrated electronics solutions in highly cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

  • Embedded software development and integration for avionics systems.
  • Design for reliability and manufacturability of avionics hardware and systems.
  • Technical expertise in motor drives and control, DC-DC converters, load switches, or high-voltage DC electronics.
