Electrical Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Gardena, California, United States; onsite hardware role. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations under ITAR.

Salary: $120,000–$165,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the design and manufacturing processes for custom electrical harnesses.
• Design embedded avionics subsystems covering power, compute, sensing, actuation, and communications.
• Develop schematics, select components, design PCB layouts, evaluate routing feasibility, and create PCB fabrication documentation.
• Manage board-level bring-up, debugging, validation, and field and laboratory testing.
• Guide board manufacturing, testing, and assembly with internal teams and external vendors.
• Establish procedures for validation, environmental, and EMC/ESD qualification.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 1–5 years of experience designing, building, and testing embedded electronics for aerospace, defense, robotics, or automotive systems.
• Strong experience with Altium Designer or a comparable CAD system such as KiCad, Eagle, or Cadence.
• Experience with high-speed digital electronics, embedded microcontrollers, RF components, power electronics, and CAN, SPI, UART, and I2C buses.
• Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout, and board-level signal and power integrity design.
• Familiarity with thermal, EMI/EMC, shock, and vibration constraints.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in avionics or high-reliability hardware systems.
• Experience delivering complex multi-board avionics or embedded systems from concept to production.
• Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson, STM32, RP2040, or other aerospace-class embedded systems.
• Experience with design for manufacturing, supply chain planning, rapid prototyping, in-house assembly, and validation campaigns.
• Experience with hardware designed to withstand extreme environments such as launch vehicles, missiles, hypersonic systems, or satellites.
