Senior Microsoft SharePoint Engineer

Location: Davidson, North Carolina, United States; hybrid schedule with onsite work Monday through Thursday and flexible work location on Fridays.

Salary: $75,700–$156,200 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Design, configure, administer, and enhance SharePoint Online sites, hubs, libraries, lists, pages, permissions, and content structures.
• Build collaboration, document management, intranet publishing, and business process solutions across Microsoft 365.
• Define information architecture, taxonomy, metadata, navigation, search optimization, governance, and content lifecycle practices.
• Support integrations across SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, Microsoft Lists, Entra ID, and Purview.
• Lead or support migrations from legacy file shares, classic SharePoint environments, and third-party content repositories.
• Advise stakeholders, document technical standards and support models, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor junior administrators or engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience administering and engineering Microsoft SharePoint environments and 5+ years working with Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies.
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online architecture, permissions, hub sites, site templates, document management, metadata, search, and governance.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, PowerShell automation, content migrations, and collaboration platform modernization.
• Understanding of Microsoft 365 identity, access management, security, Entra ID, and conditional access.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, written communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, Microsoft Lists, Microsoft Purview, retention, records management, data classification, or eDiscovery.
• Familiarity with SharePoint Framework, API-based integrations, or lightweight custom solution design.
• Experience with enterprise collaboration governance, adoption strategy, digital workplace transformation, or large matrixed enterprises.
• Microsoft certifications related to Microsoft 365, SharePoint, security, or Power Platform.
