M365 Cloud Engineer (Microsoft 365)

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona, United States; hybrid work with office collaboration typically on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Ability to travel 10% of the time, including on short notice.

Salary: $129,000–$140,000 USD annual base pay, plus eligibility for an annual cash bonus.

What you will do

• Design, configure, administer, and optimize Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and Power BI.
• Design and manage SharePoint Online sites, hubs, permissions, content types, and information architecture.
• Engineer integrations across Microsoft Entra, hybrid Active Directory, Azure SSO, SCIM provisioning, and enterprise applications.
• Develop automation and self-service solutions with PowerShell, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
• Implement monitoring, usage analysis, capacity planning, license management, and proactive service health management.
• Support security, compliance, disaster recovery, maintenance, documentation, service desk escalations, and adoption of the Microsoft 365 roadmap.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, Microsoft Windows Server, SharePoint Framework, Power Platform, and the Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance portal.
• Expert knowledge of PowerShell or Python, hybrid Microsoft Entra and on-premises Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Azure SSO federation, and SCIM.
• Strong knowledge of SPF, DMARC, DKIM, SSL/TLS/HTTPS/SSH, capacity planning, monitoring, and regulatory compliance.
• 5+ years of experience architecting, designing, implementing, administering, and supporting enterprise Microsoft 365 cloud environments, directory services, and messaging platforms.
• No visa sponsorship or employment authorization sponsorship is available now or in the future.
• Strong communication, customer service, time management, and independent collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field.
• Professional certifications or significant relevant IT experience in place of a formal degree.
• Experience working in a NERC-regulated environment.
