Microsoft Exchange and Teams Engineer

Location: Hybrid, with a principally in-person working model across offices in Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, and Massachusetts. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Salary: $89,500–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, administer, and establish standards for Microsoft Exchange Online, email security, Microsoft Teams, voice, video conferencing, fax, and other communications solutions.
• Lead infrastructure and security projects from solution selection and design through testing and implementation.
• Provide analysis, support, and remediation for escalated incidents involving email, phishing, malware, spam, Teams, telecommunications, and conferencing services.
• Monitor event logs, performance KPIs, and baselines, and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Develop and test disaster recovery, incident response, and business continuity plans, including capacity planning and budgeting.
• Participate in maintenance windows, occasional travel, and an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Exchange Online and email security solutions.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
• Experience with eDiscovery, Litigation Hold, and compliance processes.
• Knowledge of external email routing and configuration, including MX records, SPF, DMARC, and DKIM.
• Experience with Entra ID and familiarity with the Microsoft 365 suite.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Teams Unified Communications, including chat, meetings, video, voice, and e911.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Quality of Service.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams Room Systems and video conferencing room solutions.
• Microsoft 365 Copilot knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
