Technical Support Engineer (Quantum Computing)

Location: Hybrid position in Munich, Germany or Espoo, Finland

What you will do

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support after initial customer issue triage.
• Install, maintain, and upgrade software on customer quantum computers and live production systems.
• Replicate customer issues, analyze logs, and troubleshoot complex software and system problems.
• Guide customers through quantum computer control software installations, upgrades, and simple quantum circuits.
• Administer the quantum computer software stack and coordinate escalations with internal technical experts.
• Identify automation opportunities and improve the efficiency of existing support processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software solution architecture or Linux system administration.
• Hands-on experience with Linux systems, Docker containers, Python package installation, and virtual environments.
• Experience maintaining live production systems and automating software-related processes.
• User-level familiarity with Git and GitLab.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including issue replication, troubleshooting, and log analysis.
• Fluent English and clear communication with customers, project managers, sales, delivery technicians, and internal technical experts.

Nice to have

• Experience or understanding of quantum computing frameworks.
• Background in software development or collaboration with researchers.
