Linux Infrastructure Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Provide second-level support for the Ubuntu desktop fleet, including operating system, hardware, application, and peripheral issues.
• Develop and maintain automated Linux configuration management using tools such as Ansible.
• Manage software deployment, package management, patch cycles, user accounts, permissions, and endpoint policies.
• Integrate Linux desktops with LDAP/Active Directory, SSO, VPN, network storage, and other central services.
• Maintain standard desktop images and improve provisioning workflows.
• Collaborate with robotics and DevOps teams, document processes, and create runbooks for engineering workstations.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent vocational training and practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Proficiency in Shell and Python scripting.
• Strong understanding of networking principles and Debian-based operating systems, particularly Ubuntu.
• Excellent written and spoken English at B2 level or above.
• Strong analytical skills, a methodical approach to problem-solving, collaboration skills, and ownership.
