Factory Test Technician II (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States. Onsite second-shift position, Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. PT.

Salary: $27.20–$40.80 USD per hour, plus a 10% shift differential and 10 guaranteed overtime hours per week.

hirify.global develops and launches rockets, including the Terran R vehicle, and builds the factory and test infrastructure required for commercial spaceflight.

What you will do

• Perform assembly, calibration, inspection, and testing of aerospace systems and components.
• Own assigned portions of factory test projects and contribute to successful completion.
• Troubleshoot and test systems independently with minimal supervision.
• Develop and lead smaller tasks or sub-projects within the Factory Test team.
• Provide feedback to improve team quality and efficiency.
• Document test results accurately and complete reports on time.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace testing, fabrication, or a similar field.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with minimal guidance.
• Understanding of aerospace components and systems, including the ability to read technical schematics and drawings.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with the team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in confined spaces or at heights.

Nice to have

• Experience with varied testing equipment and mechanical or electrical systems.
• Experience creating and reviewing test documentation and work orders.
• Experience mentoring less experienced team members and providing peer feedback.
• Experience with advanced aerospace systems, cryogenics, or hydraulic systems.
