Test Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; workplace type: onsite. Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an export license under ITAR and EAR regulations.

Compensation: $30.00–$45.00 per hour

What you will do

• Fabricate, assemble, maintain, and calibrate spacecraft test equipment.
• Test pressure and propellant systems, combustion devices, vibration tables, thermal chambers, and vacuum chambers.
• Operate and troubleshoot fluid, electrical, power, and data acquisition systems safely.
• Work with designers, engineers, and technicians to improve testing processes and throughput.
• Train and guide other technicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 3+ years of professional experience in aerospace or another relevant operations or test environment.
• Experience operating pressure, electrical, power, and data acquisition systems.
• Proficiency with fabrication tools and processes, including power tools, tube bending, machining, and welding.
• Ability to troubleshoot fluid and electrical systems and implement practical solutions.
• U.S. Person status or eligibility to obtain the required U.S. export license is required.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience assembling or testing propulsion and fluid systems on rockets, launch vehicles, or spacecraft.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, symbols, flag notes, and general notes.
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment.
