NPI Application Engineer Pick & Place (SMT)

What you will do

• Deliver manufacturing-ready SMT Pick & Place processes for new products and production lines.
• Program, configure, and optimize ASM Pick & Place machines, including feeders, nozzles, and production tooling.
• Review technical documentation, PCB layouts, component footprints, and assembly risks during DFM/DFA assessments.
• Organize pre-series process trials and optimize processes for required capability and performance targets.
• Validate processes, prepare work instructions and control plans, and complete documented handovers to serial production.
• Support MES, traceability, real-time data collection, and training on SMT processes and ASM machine operation.

Requirements

• Higher education in a technical field or comparable training, with a background in electronic production.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic serial production and ASM Pick & Place processes.
• Knowledge of IPC 610A and experience with process characterization, including DoE, process-window validation, and Cp/Cpk analysis.
• Good command of Microsoft Office.
• Good knowledge of English is required.
• Analytical, teamwork, and communication skills; availability for business trips.
