Area Contracting Manager (HVAC)

Location: Chesapeake, Virginia, United States. Monday through Thursday onsite with colleagues; Fridays offer flexibility in work location.

Salary: $117,673.33–$164,675.00 annual base salary, with incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Manage contracting fulfillment processes and own the portfolio of projects from inception through completion.
• Supervise project management and technician personnel, conduct reviews, and support team development and manpower planning.
• Partner with sales and peer leaders to develop and execute commercial and industrial HVAC, building automation, and performance contracting projects.
• Review contracts and estimates, perform risk analysis, develop mitigation plans, and lead project closeout reviews.
• Manage customer communication, satisfaction, subcontractor performance, and vendor relationships.
• Oversee business financial performance, forecasting, safety leadership, and delivery of financial commitments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of industrial and commercial HVAC systems, building automation systems, and performance contracting.
• Experience with contracting processes for building automation, mechanical/HVAC installation, and performance contracting projects.
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, project management, and resource planning.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations during the previous three years.
• Experience leading a team is preferred.
