Manager, Plant Design Products (Nuclear Engineering)

Salary: $168,316–$252,475 per year; the range is specific to Washington State.

What you will do

• Lead a geographically diverse team and collaborate with partner design organizations on integrated nuclear island and plant-level design deliverables.
• Develop and communicate plant architecture, including system interactions, functional allocations, interfaces, and design assumptions.
• Guide development of plant-level plans, strategies, design basis documents, and plant design specifications.
• Facilitate technical integration reviews, configuration discussions, and architecture strategy sessions across engineering, licensing, safety analysis, and PRA teams.
• Lead resolution of multidisciplinary technical issues and support decisions involving major plant systems.
• Manage staffing, schedules, deliverable scope, performance, mentoring, professional development, and hiring for the Design Integration team.

Requirements

• BS degree in nuclear, mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering.
• 10+ years of nuclear engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory, mentoring, or equivalent people leadership experience.
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering leadership and plant architecture.
• Knowledge of NRC and DOE regulations and risk-informed licensing approaches.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and solve multidisciplinary problems with minimal direction.

Nice to have

• Experience with PRA, safety analysis, and high-temperature systems.
• Experience with ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001.
