Manager, Natrium Fuel Handling Systems

Salary: $168,316–$252,475 per year, with the range specific to Washington State.

What you will do

• Serve as system lead and design authority for the Natrium Ex-Vessel Fuel Handling System.
• Lead the design and delivery of fuel handling machines, hot cells, and specialty casks.
• Review and approve specifications, calculations, drawings, diagrams, and other engineering documentation.
• Control design configuration, system interfaces, quality requirements, and technical procedures.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and partner technical work while managing design and operational risks.
• Lead staffing, hiring, training, work allocation, team performance, schedules, budgets, and technical work scopes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, such as mechanical, nuclear, chemical, systems, or civil engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in system or component design and/or engineering management.
• Experience preparing and approving engineering specifications, calculations, drawings, diagrams, and related documentation.
• Experience working to quality standards, especially ASME NQA-1.
• Experience designing or overseeing nuclear cranes and hoists, lifting devices, storage or transportation casks, cask transporters, hot cells, or hot cell equipment and processes.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, solve multidisciplinary problems with minimal direction, and foster teamwork with integrity and open communication.

Nice to have

• Experience in the nuclear or energy sectors.
• Previous management or technical leadership experience.
• Experience with ASME BPVC Section III or VIII, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ASME NOG-1, ASME NUM-1, ASME BTH-1, ASME AG-1, or ANSI/AISC N690.
