Location: Long Beach, California, United States. The role involves access to U.S. export-controlled information and requires U.S. person status or eligibility for deemed export licensing.
Salary: $110,000β$175,000 USD annually, depending on level, qualifications, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand.

What you will do
- Own power electronics development from specifications, architecture, simulation, schematic capture, and PCB design through mechanical packaging and board bring-up.
- Design circuits for power conversion, load switching, hot-swapping, power conditioning, inrush control, and over-current fault detection.
- Lead board-level, environmental, and integrated system-level validation.
- Perform failure modes and effects analyses and drive system-level reliability and validation plans.
- Support critical mission milestones, including occasional overtime or weekend work.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in electrical engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience developing power electronics.
- Experience with full-lifecycle product development and instrumentation or data acquisition.
- Experience with vehicle and instrumentation buses such as Ethernet, CAN, SPI, I2C, and serial I/O.
- Experience with programming or technical tools such as MATLAB, Python, C/C++, SPICE, SQL, or National Instruments hardware.
- Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export-control requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience designing electronics for spaceflight environments.
- Experience with environmental testing, including random vibration, shock, thermal, burn-in, and TVAC.
- Experience in collegiate engineering project teams such as Formula SAE or Hybrid Electric Vehicle projects.
- Ability to solve problems creatively, assess risk, and make decisions with incomplete data.
