Power Electronics - Principal Electrical Engineer (R4822)

Salary: $211,125–$316,687 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular full-time employees.

What you will do

• Own flight-critical power system architecture and design for the X-BAT aircraft.
• Design high- and low-voltage power electronics, including inverters, DC-DC converters, battery management systems, and other power subsystems.
• Lead the complete hardware development cycle from concept, modeling, analysis, schematic capture, and simulation through prototyping, testing, validation, and production.
• Drive PCB layout and design with ECAD engineers, optimizing power density, EMI, thermal performance, and manufacturability.
• Lead design reviews and coordinate with mechanical, CAD, embedded, software, supply chain, test automation, production, and aircraft teams.
• Mentor engineers, provide technical feedback, and manage timelines, deliverables, and technical milestones.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer.
• Experience with circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, circuit testing, and debugging.
• Familiarity with Altium or an equivalent ECAD tool.
• Ability to design robust systems for safety, manufacturability, reliability, shock, vibration, radiation, and high-altitude environments.
• Ability to obtain an S//SAR-level security clearance is desired.
