Location: Newport News, Virginia, United States

Salary: $230,000–$280,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual incentive and a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

  • Provide patient-centered primary care for adults and children, including preventive care and acute and chronic disease management.
  • Deliver occupational health services to employees at an assigned hirify.global Center.
  • Perform post-offer, pre-employment, return-to-work, fit-for-duty, DOT, public safety, and travel physicals.
  • Administer vaccines and occupational health testing, including drug and alcohol testing, vision screening, TB testing, lift testing, hearing conservation, pulmonary function testing, and respirator fit testing.
  • Manage work injuries and exposures, stay-at-work coordination, work restrictions, referrals, and HAZMAT and lead surveillance.
  • Complete regulatory, OSHA, workers’ compensation, claims, and first-report-of-injury documentation while collaborating with advanced practice providers.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of residency in family practice or internal medicine plus pediatrics.
  • Board certification or eligibility with intent to certify.
  • Active state medical license required. DEA certification is preferred, and a dispensing license may be required under state regulations.
  • CPR/BLS certification required by the start date.
  • At least 2 years of experience in internal medicine or family/general practice; occupational medicine experience is preferred.
  • DOT Medical Examiner Certification through the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners required, or must be obtained after hire.
