Manager, A&M SW & HW Development (Embedded Systems)

Location: Based in Kajaani, Finland; occasional travel to sites in Tampere and Oulu.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of software and hardware professionals working on embedded measurement systems.
• Drive technology development across embedded software, electronics, and system architecture.
• Guide technology selection, technical decisions, and long-term technology roadmaps.
• Act as a senior technical authority in architectural development and complex problem-solving.
• Lead public research and development projects, including Business Finland-funded initiatives.
• Collaborate with product management, R&D, production, external development partners, and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong experience in embedded systems development, embedded software engineering, electronics design and development, or system architecture.
• Proven ability to lead teams, complex technical development activities, and multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong communication skills in both Finnish and English.
• Ability to work with stakeholders across functions and organizational levels.
• Ability to travel occasionally to other Finnish sites, mainly Tampere and Oulu.
