Senior Engineering Manager (AI/ML)

Location: Helsinki, Finland; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Lead and grow the Ad Performance Recommendation team, providing technical direction, strategic vision, and hands-on engineering leadership.
• Drive the development and optimization of AdTech-specific ML models, predictive systems, simulations, and foundational AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable customer and business impact through AI-powered features.
• Ensure ML applications comply with privacy, security, and ethical AI standards.
• Build an engineering culture focused on innovation, quality, and continuous improvement while mentoring team members.
• Partner with recruiting and AI Platform leaders to scale the team and shape hirify.global’s long-term AI strategy and architecture.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building services and products, including 5+ years applying machine learning to real-world problems.
• 3+ years of experience leading teams and developing data scientists or machine learning engineers.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
• Experience delivering scalable ML systems in production, including hands-on code reviews and pair programming.
• Understanding of security and compliance requirements for personal data.
• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a relevant field and excellent written and spoken English; ability to work at the Helsinki office 3 days per week.
