What you will do
- Lead global engineering responsibility for the development and governance of machine control systems across Underground Hard Rock platforms.
- Own the global controls systems architecture and software integration strategy for loaders, trucks, drills, and associated mining equipment.
- Drive the harmonization and standardization of software, controls, electrical, and automation systems.
- Establish and govern global software lifecycle management, including architecture standards, release management, and cybersecurity.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of critical software and systems integration issues affecting product performance.
- Mentor engineering personnel to improve global software, controls, and automation engineering capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics, Automation, or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive engineering experience in controls, embedded systems, and automation within an OEM or industrial environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading global engineering organizations and cross-functional technical teams.
- Experience developing standardized controls platforms and software architectures in a global environment.
- Technical knowledge of ECUs, industrial machine communications, sensors, and autonomous equipment technologies.
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Canada, Germany, South Africa, or Poland.
