Global Indirect Procurement Customer Field Services Category Strategist

Location: Spring, Texas, United States of America; hybrid role with on-site attendance 3 days per week. Occasional travel is required for supplier meetings, governance reviews, and leadership summits.

Salary: $116,150–$182,400 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for United States candidates.

What you will do

• Develop and lead global Customer Field Services category strategies covering break-and-fix services, installation services, and onsite device support.
• Drive strategic sourcing, supply base optimization, cost transformation, operational excellence, and end-to-end value delivery.
• Lead complex negotiations and contracting with critical suppliers to secure favorable terms, enable innovation, and mitigate risk.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with executive stakeholders and translate market, spend, and supplier analytics into strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, business units, Operations, and global category management teams to ensure compliant execution.
• Develop strategic supplier relationships, explore new capabilities and efficiencies, and coach other category managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, consulting, or strategic sourcing, ideally in a global environment.
• Expert-level negotiation, business strategy, supply chain, financial modeling, and analytical skills.
• Experience influencing executives, managing complex supplier ecosystems, and delivering transformational outcomes.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, cross-functional leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
• AI fluency and digital fluency.

Nice to have

• Background in sales or consulting.
• PMP, Lean Six Sigma, C.P.M., CPSM, CPSD, CPCM, CCCM, CSCP, CPIM, or CLTD certification.
