Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, Indirect (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; hybrid workplace. Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export-control requirements.

Salary: $156,613–$211,888 annually, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies across professional services, software/SaaS, IT, facilities, capital equipment, and corporate services.
• Lead supplier selection, RFP/RFQ management, negotiations, contracting, and onboarding.
• Negotiate commercial agreements covering cost, scalability, risk mitigation, quality, and long-term supplier performance.
• Build scalable procurement processes, category strategies, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, IT, Legal, Operations, and executive leadership.
• Support infrastructure expansion, CapEx initiatives, manufacturing scale-up, and operational build-outs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain in a high-growth or technical environment.
• Strong experience managing indirect spend categories, including professional services, software/SaaS, IT, facilities, or CapEx.
• Experience building sourcing strategies and procurement processes in startup or scaling organizations.
• Strong commercial negotiation, supplier management, analytical, operational, and stakeholder management skills.
• U.S. export-control eligibility is required: U.S. citizenship, nationality, lawful permanent residency, or qualifying asylee or refugee status, or eligibility for deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, robotics, automotive, or hardware startups.
• Experience supporting R&D-to-production transitions, supplier industrialization, and manufacturing scale-up.
• Experience with regulated or security-conscious environments, ERP, procurement, spend management, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise IT services.
• MBA, CPSM, CPM, CIPS, or related procurement certification.
