Sr. Specialist, Strategic Sourcing (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: On-site in Melbourne, Florida; Rochester, New York; Salt Lake City, Utah; or Greenville, Texas

Salary: $73,000–$135,000 annually for eligible locations; other listed areas may have a range of $84,000–$156,000.

What you will do

• Support supply market analysis, supplier identification, and category strategy development for assigned commodities and spend areas.
• Prepare and manage RFx events, coordinate supplier communications, and evaluate bids, pricing, commercial structures, and qualitative proposals.
• Perform reporting, data analysis, scenario modeling, benchmarking, should-cost analysis, and sourcing analytics to support supplier selection.
• Support negotiations, supplier rationalization, make-versus-buy analysis, inventory initiatives, rebate opportunities, and supplier relationship management.
• Coordinate contract development and modifications, Statements of Work, supplier requirements, and sourcing documentation.
• Partner with engineering, operations, quality, production, finance, legal, category leadership, and program stakeholders while managing milestones and sourcing risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance, engineering, or operations with 6 years of prior experience; alternatively, a graduate degree with 4 years of experience or 10 years of related experience without a degree.
• At least 6 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, supplier management, contracts, category management, or a related function.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal communication, and cross-functional influencing skills.
• Experience with supplier bids, pricing analysis, sourcing recommendations, negotiations, supplier capacity, operational capabilities, and supply risk assessment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and sourcing, ERP, procurement, or data analysis tools.
• Some positions may require eligibility for a U.S. security clearance, which is available only to U.S. citizens.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or another complex regulated industry.
• FAR/DFAR experience and familiarity with Statements of Work, supplier terms, and contract modification processes.
• Experience with eSourcing platforms, category management across multiple sites or business units, and supplier performance analysis.
