Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager, Engineering/Technology

Location: Hybrid, based in San Francisco or Mountain View, California

Salary: $143,000–$231,000 per year, plus potential annual bonus, stock, benefits, and other incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end category strategy and execution for technology sourcing across cloud, software, telecom, engineering, and technology services.
• Lead request-for-proposal processes, bid analysis, supplier selection, due diligence, contract drafting, and commercial negotiations.
• Develop data-driven sourcing strategies that balance cost, speed, quality, innovation, and total value.
• Manage supplier performance and responsible sourcing practices while addressing risk, compliance, information security, privacy, and legal requirements.
• Build long-term relationships with business stakeholders, communicate progress, and manage leadership expectations.
• Operate as a program manager for key global sourcing initiatives and drive operational excellence across strategic sourcing practices.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in contract analysis, negotiation, financial modeling, and RFP/RFI/RFQ creation and evaluation.
• 8+ years of experience in contract drafting, editing, and pricing negotiations.
• Experience sourcing software, hardware, and business process outsourcing services, including large and complex enterprise agreements.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder influence, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience partnering with Engineering, Legal, Finance, Security, Privacy, Risk, and Compliance teams.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of people leadership experience managing, coaching, and developing sourcing or procurement teams.
• 3+ years supporting Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, or Technology organizations in strategic sourcing or procurement.
• MBA or JD, CPSM certification, or related process improvement, strategic sourcing, or asset management certifications.
• Experience with acquisition integration and contract management systems such as Oracle, ServiceNow, Conga, or Salesforce.
