Senior Category Specialist (Strategic Sourcing)

Location: San Diego, United States; hybrid home/office workplace

Salary: $76,375–$101,834 gross annual base pay, plus eligibility for an annual corporate bonus.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives across indirect spend categories, including RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes.
• Develop sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings, contract optimization, and supplier performance improvements.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, service levels, and performance expectations with suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships, business reviews, corrective actions, and contractual compliance.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Information Security, and business stakeholders on contracts, purchasing, and procurement governance.
• Approve and process requisitions and purchase orders through hirify.global’s procurement and ERP systems and resolve supplier issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing, strategic sourcing, or category management.
• Experience leading sourcing events and supplier negotiations.
• Strong understanding of procure-to-pay processes, purchase orders, contracts, and supplier management.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel data analysis, SharePoint, SAP, and SAP/SRM procure-to-pay systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, negotiation, and project management skills.
