Systems Engineering Manager - Infrastructure (Mainframe)

Location: Jersey City, United States

Salary: $145,000–$200,000 per year, plus discretionary bonuses and profit-sharing.

What you will do

• Manage the mainframe platform supporting BBH Core Custody applications and business operations.
• Oversee installation, configuration, security, operation, and maintenance of mainframe infrastructure and independent software vendor applications.
• Lead product delivery, escalation management, and resolution of high-exposure issues, defects, and operational requests.
• Develop integrated systems and business plans aligned with organizational strategy, priorities, budgets, and reporting needs.
• Lead and develop the systems department, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance direction.
• Improve monitoring, reporting, KPI measurement, business continuity planning, and audit compliance.

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge of mainframe systems and infrastructure operations.
• Strong knowledge of COBOL, CICS, RACF, JCL, DB2, Assembler, IBM Mainframe, and z/OS.
• Experience with CICS TS, DB2 z/OS, MQ z/OS, OMEGAMON, IBM Job Scheduler, storage architecture, and data center operations.
• At least 10 years of experience in infrastructure, engineering, and operations.
• Demonstrated success leading, motivating, and developing large teams; at least 5 years of experience leading large teams is preferred.
• Experience with vendor management, contract negotiation, infrastructure roadmaps, leadership presentations, and business cases. A BA/BS degree in computer science, computer or electrical engineering, information technology, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience.
