What you will do

• Support software engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and development assistance.
• Lead migration, conversion, and modernization initiatives for major life insurance clients.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to analyze business needs, define requirements, and design solutions.
• Conduct gap analysis and ensure integrations across legacy and modern platforms.
• Mentor team members through feedback, coaching, and career development planning.
• Manage project tasks, timelines, resources, budgets, priorities, and delivery risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent education and experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Typically 6+ years of relevant industry experience, including experience in a similar role and software engineering.
• Deep life insurance expertise, particularly Universal Life and Traditional Life products, with strong Vantage/wmA experience.
• Experience with mainframe application development, system enhancement, and legacy modernization, including COBOL, JCL, DB2, SQL, VSAM, Easytrieve, CICS, stored procedures, and REXX.
• Strong programming, debugging, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, plus prior leadership or mentoring experience.
