Facilities Technician I

Location: On-site in Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States. Successful candidates must clear a US government-administered background check for on-site work at a government partner location.

Salary: $22–$33 USD per hour.

hirify.global develops rockets and launch infrastructure, including the Terran R vehicle and its Cape Canaveral launch site.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Respond to work orders and facilities service requests.
• Inspect facilities for maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Use basic tools and equipment safely under OSHA and company standards.
• Record completed work in the CMMS.
• Provide facilities-related customer service to employees and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Entry-level experience in general maintenance, facilities, or a related field; 3+ years preferred, with internships and apprenticeships accepted.
• Basic knowledge of one or more trades, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
• Ability to follow instructions, manuals, and simple schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, plus basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physical work in varied environments.
• Willingness to be on call for occasional after-hours emergencies.

Nice to have

• OSHA 10 certification.
• Forklift or aerial lift operator certification.
• Proactive approach and ability to work independently as well as with a team.
